Upon arrival you will either be met by your host family and a YFU representative, or just a YFU rep.

There will be three orientations offered for year students during your exchange year in Ecuador: arrival orientation immediately following arrival, mid-term orientations around February or march and end of year orientations in June. Summer students will have only one arrival orientation and one farewell party at the end of the experience.

Only the arrival orientations for year students will be held at a special camp with all students, from Ambato, Ibarra, Cuenca, Riobamba and Quito together and will last two to three days. Mid-term and end of year orientations will be held at each region and will only be for one day. Summer students will have a very brief day orientation in each region upon arrival.
